Highview Farm

 

After eight months of searching, we finally found a beautiful plot in a Hampshire village, with a not so beautiful house. The potential was clear to me from the beginning and after five years of living in the existing house, scheming, planning and imagining our home, we took the plunge. We moved the whole family into a mobile trailer and utilised the garage as a kitchen and living room during the contruction period. All but the front wall came down, and fast forward five years to the present moment, I can build, labour, weld, sew, paint and live with disruption and chaos, while the family survived the displacement. The result makes me and my family very happy. A home where we can host our large extended family and friends and a forever home to raise my children alongside my husband.
